Give towards our $50,000 Match and Double Your Gift
Help us purchase our permanent home at 2023 Clement Avenue and unite both SHIELD Ministries program locations on one street for greater impact and stability. A generous $50,000 matching grant means every donation is doubled.
After 11 years of controlled rent at our Woodbine Ave. location, costs are expected to increase to nearly $70,000 annually, placing critical program services at risk. Purchasing this property is essential to protecting and sustaining the re-entry support, housing, education, and mentoring services our residents depend on.
Safe, stable housing is a key factor in reducing recidivism by providing structure, employment stability, and positive support systems. Your gift helps secure a permanent foundation for lasting transformation, hope, and restoration—without reducing services to those we serve.

Our prison pre-release re-entry education programs are 100% funded by donations and are made possible through the generosity of supporters and volunteers like you.
Our Post-release students contribute 50–60% of direct program costs, personally investing in their hope-filled futures and successful re-entry.

Your donation helps provide housing, food, clothing, bus passes, transportation, life stabilization, job referrals, re-entry education, continuing education, and other wrap-around services that help students identify and overcome barriers to successful re-entry.
But your donation does even more than that. It helps fathers support their children, learn healthy communication skills, rebuild meaningful relationships, grow strong emotionally and spiritually, and experience lasting personal transformation. It helps men develop career paths that allow them to serve their communities and, most importantly, provide stability and support for their families.
